Our honey bee rescue team has a combined experience of over 20 years.
When honey bees move in with you, they don’t pay rent and could cause trouble later on down the road. It is much better to have them removed instead of exterminated. Exterminators never remove the nest. They just attempt to kill the bees, leaving all the contaminated comb and honey behind to rot in your walls or attic, making a big mess. Furthermore extermination only works about 80 percent of the time.
We use thermal imaging to locate the nest, thereby mitigating unnecessary repairs. We then open the cavity where the bees are located, remove the colony, honey and comb and all the eggs, to prevent returning foragers from making a new queen.
The Importance of Saving feral Honey Bees
With the decline in feral and managed pollinators, comes serious declines in food supplies. Farmers are dependent on beekeepers across the the nation to bring honey bees to their farms. The loss of feral pollinators would spell disaster for our local ecosystem. Feral honey bees keep our local ecosystems thriving and productive. Think about if you spent time planting a garden and fruit trees and there were no honey bees to pollinate the flowers. You would have no fruit!
Bee colonies that we remove are relocated and given a place in our apiaries. They are taken care of, making sure they are treated for any diseases, giving them an opportunity to continue protecting our local ecosystem. Furthermore, we are looking for a ranch to host bee hives. If you have one or know of one, please call us @ (325) 201-8237.
